South African Hot Chocolate Sauce
3T margarine
3T cococa
1 tin condensed milk (390g) or 12 oz
Melt the margarine in the top of a double boiler, and stir in the cocoa powder.
Combine well, then add the tin of condensed milk.
Stir well and heat through until almost boiling.
Pour over vanilla ice cream fo a sinfully good dessert.
Leftovers can be kept in the fridge, although they're not likely to last long - they'll take on the consistency of runny fudge and be devoured before the day is out.
This is a family favourite going back several generations and is simply unbeatable, not to mention easy!
I've also made this in the microwave - just melt the butter, stir in the cocoa and condensed milk, and microwave until very hot
