Pumpkin Pound Cake

2-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 can (15 oz) solid-pack pumpkin
Powdered Sugar

In a mixing bowl, blend sugar and oil. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add pumpkin and mix well.
Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and cloves in a mixing bowl. Using a hand whisk ensures all is mixed well.
Stirring constantly, slowly add dry mixture to pumpkin mixture.
Pour into an oiled and floured bunt pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Remove from pan and dusk with powdered sugar
Yield 12-16 servings.
