Salsa Fresca (Fresh Chile Sauce)
2-3 Fresh tomatoes or 1 12-14oz canned
10-15 Piquin peppers or 3 serranos or 3 jalpenos
1/2 Chopped onion
1 Clove garlic
1/2 Tbsp Cilantro
1 tsp Lemon juice (optional, but slows spoiling)
1/4 Cup Water
Salt to taste
Combine all ingredients in a blender.
Use the mixers chop feature. 3 to 4 short on/off cycles should produce the desired texture.
Serve cold or warm in a sauce pan.
Pour in a bowl.
Serve with chips or use to spice up any meal.
